PM6003

The PM6003 replaces the much-praised PM6002, the last amplifier to be upgraded to the new M1 Reference Design style. But it’s not just the outward aesthetics that have been improved; Marantz took this upgrade opportunity to further improve this already excellent amp by refining the sound and optimising the balance from bass to mid to highs for a performance full of harmony. The new lower impedance Toroidal transformer shielded with case, was also matched to the new main capacitors, which again have been aligned to the new type of power transistor, mounted on a new extruded aluminium head sink, capable of handling higher currents and keeping closer control of the speaker. And of course all of the original features - such as six-line audio input including Phono, two-pairs of gold plated speaker connection with the convenience of bi-wiring and a remote handset - are still available.
