It comes with the new full Profile2.0 / BD-Live specification, which means it has an Internet connection for downloading additional movie content. It will also upscale your DVDs to 1080p. The new design with the centred mechanism perfectly fits into the Marantz receiver and amplifier line up. Furthermore, the BD5004 includes a stereo output for analogue signals from CDs or down-mixed DVD and Blu-ray sound, while the HD-Audio sound will be streamed via HDMI 1.3a output. And for the purist enjoying music from CDs there’s a Pure Direct Mode.
